NORTHCOTE EX-SOLDIERS
THE ANNUAL D»NCE The annual dance under the auspices of the Northcote Beturned Soldiers' Association, held last evening in the King's Theatre at Northcote, was largely attended. The hall was attractively decorated with ferns and flags. The supper tables were arranged in a red, white and blue colour scheme, interspersed with seasonable flowers. The hostess was Mrs. A. J. Lennon, wife of the president, who wore a frock of black lace. The floor arrangements were in the charge of Mr. C. L. Duke. The music was played by an orchestra under Mr. W. MayalL •The ladies' committee, in addition to Mrs. A.' J; Lennon, comprised:— Mrs. F. Townshend, who wore floral crepe de chine; Mrs. W. Hay, in red marocain; Mrs. H. H. Markwick, red satin; Mrs. J. R. Bethwaite, black lace; Mrs. N. S. emerald green lace; Mrs. J. Dunn, black georgette; Mrs. A. C. T. Winkelmann, red marocain; Mrs. I). Gray, cyclamen, crepe de chine; Mrs. W. J. I. Davidson, floral crepe suede; Mrs. S. Osborne, delphinium blue georgette; Mrs. W. Lydiard, apricot marocain; Mrs. A. C. Pugh, navy blue crepe de chine: Among those present were:—Mrs. R.
