AGED PEDESTRIAN HURT

STRUCK BY MOTOR-CAR CONDITION CRITICAL A pedestrian, aged 86, Mr. Edward Farmer Cooksey, retired. 1 a widower, suffered concussion as a result of being struck by a rnotor-car at the corner of Campbell and Wheturangi Roads, One Tree Hill, at about 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon. The car was driven by Mr. Albert William Brown, of 12 Kewi Road, Mount Roskill.

When the accident occurred -Mr. Cooksey was crossing Campbell and the car was proceeding toward the city along Campbell Road. The injured man was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. His condition last night was described as being critical.
