UNEXPLAINED SUICIDE
EVE OF WEDDING DAY STATION MANAGER'S DEATH [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION"] CHRISTCHUHCH, Saturday At the inquest regarding the death of Andrew Sim McLay, a station manager, the coroner returned a verdict of suicide. McLay was found dead in a garace at Dallington on May 9, two days before the day fixed for his marriace. He had a "bullet wound in his head.
Evidence was given that McLay had been rational before the tragedy. He had been staving at his fiancee's home, had no financial worries, and was in good health. No explanation could be offered for his action. He had been employed at Mount Stewart, Waiau.
