WAIKATO WINTER SHOW

DEMAND FOR FLOOR SPACE OPENING OF NEW HALL [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Friday Although the Waikato Winter Show is firmly established in public favour, there arc features that will make this year's exhibition an outstanding attraction. The official opening will be performed on Tuesday, May 28, by the Governor-General, Viscount Galway, this being the occasion of His Excellency's first visit to the Waikato. An important feature of the ceremonv will be the opening of the new Bledisloe Hall of Agriculture. Inis fine building, which is nearly completed, will be one of the largest and best-appointed exhibition halls in New Zealand or Australia. It will provide a greatly increased area of floor space and a splendid auditorium for ceremonies and entertainments. Floor space is being rapidly booked and the trade section will include the displays of manufacturers and agents from all parts of New Zealand. Year by year many of the leading firms in the Dominion are represented at this exhibition, and it has come to be recognised as the most effective marketing centre in the largest dairying district in the province. Careful attention to detad on tho part of the show management will provide novel attraction's for the public and ensure the comfort pf- visitors. In certain sections of the building a picturesque effect has been obtained by mural paintings depicting Waikato landscapes.
