A taxi-cab containing seven passengers collided with a telegraph polo on the* North .Road, when returning'to the city early this morning. The accident resulted in injuries to Messrs. C. F. Lowe and G. Braxton and Mrs. E. Koss, of Invercargill, Miss N. Branks, of Riverlon, and Mr. K. F. Keith, of Henly. Mr. Keith sustained a broken leg. The driver of the car, Mr. J. Green, was only slightly hurt, but his passongors were all admitted to hospital, suffering from cuts, abrasions and shock. The car was severely damaged. Ono passenger escaped injury, but has not been located meanwhile. The impact was very severe and was heard at a considerable distance, the whole neighbourhood being aroused.
