CATHOLIC SOCIETY'S WORK

"It has been our best season to date and the society is now permanently established," said Mr. H. C. McCoy, president of the Catholic Repertory Society, at its annual meeting on Tuesday night. Mr. McCoy referred to the success of the public productions and the continued progress of the play-reading circle.

It was announced that Miss Ysolinde McVeagh had again accepted the position of honorary producer. Two public performances will be given this year, the first in May and the second in September. There lias been a considerable increase in membership and the financial position of the society is sound. The following officers were elected: — Patron, Bishop Listop; president, Mr. H. C. McCoy; vice-president, Mr. M. M. Flynn; secretary, Mr. M. F. Coleman; treasurer, Mr. Hugh Wright, jun.; committee, Mesdames E. Dunne, E. Sommerville, Misses K. Coleman. E. Creedon, L. Drysdale, N. Ormond and V. A. Walsh, the Rev. Dr. Buxton, Fathers Doyle and Colgan, Messrs. G. J. Foy, G. F. Joseph, F. Sweeney, T. Meyer, J. C. Tolo, B. Prendergast and J. Larsen.
