WESTERN DISTRICT COUNCIL

[BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday

Following a decision mi die at the last annual meeting of the JLoyal Agricultural Society that a Royal Show should be held once in every five years in each of the five districts in the Dominion, a meeting was held at Feilding at which a western district) council was set up consisting of Messrs. D. Colli;?, J. Batchelor, H. Kisslinj; (Palmerston North), J. Webb (Tailape), M. A. Conway, J. Knight (Feilding), H. B. Johnston, R. Marshall (Marton), R. 0. Dalrymple (Bulls), H. J. Lancaster (Levin), A. Hunter (Hawera) and H. C. Sampson (Nen Plymouth). The district comprises Taninaki, Manawatu and the area on the west coast to Wellington. The following were eected to the Royal Society council: —Messrs. Knight, Conway Hunter, Batcheljir and Sampsou.
