LOVELOCK'S 1500* METRES WIN IN THE RELAY RACE OSLO. Sept. 19 An international athletic meeting was held at Toensberg to-day on a heavy track. The 1500 metres race was won by J. E. Lovelock (New Zealand) in 4m. 5 2-ss. He completely outran his opponents in an excellent race. The 400 metres was won easily by Bathbone in 51 l-55., and the 200 metres bv Horsfall in 22Js. The 1000 metres relay race was won by Lovelock, Pathhone. Horsfall and Townend in 2m. 1 9-10s. Hath bone, the last runner, beat Carson (Norway) by a fraction of a second.
