THE ANNUAL MEETING [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TAURANGA, Thursday In reports presented to the annual meeting of the Tauranga Girl Guides company the committee expressed appreciation of the loyalty and keenness of the girls and their officers. The balancesheet showed a good sum in hand. Work done by girls in the Guide company had been selected from that sent in from the whole of the Bay of Plenty division for sending forward for possible selection for the Lady Alice Fergusson Cup competition. As the division extends from Putaruru to Opotiki the Tauranga company had done well. 'Te Puke Guides had also had work sent forward.
Officers were elected as follows: President, Mrs. Castles; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Robbins, Newsham, Hickey and Harris; secretary, Miss Taylor; treasurer, Miss Adams; committee, Mesdames Watt, Newsham, Taylor, Rider, Peterson, Keene, Bowen, French, and Misses Ford and Taylor.
