ROTARY INTERNATIONAL

RECENT CONVENTION A welcome was extended by members of the Auckland Rotary Club to Mr. Angus Mitchell, of Melbourne, governor ' of the 65th Rotary district, Australia, at a luncheon at Milne and C'hoyce's Tudor Tearooms yesterday. Mr. Mitchell passed through Auckland by the Monterey on his return to Australia after having attended the recent international Rotary convention at Detroit, United States. After being welcomed by the presi- / dent, Mr. G. L. Taylor, Mr. Mitchell described his trip to the United States by way of the Orient and outlined some of the activities of the convention at Detroit. He referred to the wonderful spirit of friendship existing among Rofcarians in China, Japan and Canada and at the international convention. , . Mr. Mitchell extended an invitation to Auckland Rotarians to attend the ' Australian conference to be held at Melbourne in March.
