MAIN TRUNK LINE
SMALL SLIP OCCURS NO DELAY TO TRAINS A small slip occurred on thu Main Trunk line a few miles south of Taihape, between Mangaweka and Ufciku, last evening. A quantity of clay came down in a cutting, but it was cleared during the evening. No delay to trains was caused, although caution was exercised during the night in negotiating the section in case there were further slips in the vicinity. At midpight the train control office at Ohakune reported that the expresses were on time and delays through snow seemed unlikely.
