[from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Sunday The retirement of Mrs. J. Staples and Miss M. Bell from the teaching staff of the Hamilton East School was marked by a presentation ceremony at the school on Friday. Mrs. Staples has been 011 the staff for eight years and Miss Bell for seven years. Mr. S. B. Sims, a member of the Education Board, presented Mrs. Staples with a travelling rug and Miss Bell with a rose bowl. Mr. W. A. Curteis, headmaster, and Mr. H. M. Baker, chairman of the school committee, thanked the two ladies for their services and wished them every happiness for the future.
