FINAL RANDWICK GALLOPS SILVER SCORN GOES WELL SYDNEY. March 30 The final gallops at Randwick yesterday were carried out on the middle grass track and the going was good. Sir John and Gladswood did hnlf-a-mile in 51s. Peter Pan finished a mile fairly well in 1.42}. Tfteo and Queen Helen ran four furlongs comfortably in 525. Chatham went an easy three furlongs, taking 425. Limarcli, Jimmie Boy and High Degree ran a mile in 1.42}. Kuvera and Blixten traversed seven furlongs in 1.30. Hall Mark beat Peter Jackson over a mile in 1.44. Parkwood did the best six furlongs of the morning, taking 1.155. Silver Scorn went nine furlongs in 1.5 R. This whs a very good effort and she is now a Sydney Cup possibility. Pasha nnd Dark Sky ran six furlongs in 1.19. Deputy Ruler tired at the end of seven furlongs in 1.31, Rapsonia taking 1.29 for a similar task. Rogilla ran six furlongs in 1.17 easily, and .Tncko covered four in 50is. C'are Free ran six furlongs in 1.17}, and Forestry and Upoko Ariki took half a second less. Roxburgh beat Confab over nine furlongs in 2.2. INTEREST LESSENED DOMINATING PERFORMERS PETER JACKSON SLIGHTLY LAME (Received March 30, 10.35 p.m.) SYDNEY. March 30 There is less interest in this year's Easter Australian Jockey Club's carnival owing to the domination of Rogilla in the Doncuster, which has resulted in a smaller field than usual, also the presence of Hall Mark in the St. Leger. The Autumn Plate, which includes Silver Scorn and Peter Jackson, will provide a Sydney Cup trial. It was announced to-day that Silver Scorn will be a certain Blarter iu the Cup on Monday. Peter Jackson has slightly lame and it is a question whether he will start in the Cup. It will depend upon how he shapes in the Autumn Plate to-morrow. The Sires' Produce Stakes is invested with considerable interest owing to the presence of the sterling colt Sir John and other promising youngsters. The Randwick track is in perfect order as the result of showers during the week followed by pleasant sunny weather. TROTTING AT HAWERA AUCKLAND CANDIDATES F. J. SMITH'S STRONG TEAM
