TROTTING STAKES

AUCKLAND SUMMER MEETING

INCREASE OF £BSO MADE

NINE TWO-MILES RACES

An increase in prize-money of £BSO, from £4485 to £5335, and the provision of no fewer than nine two-miles races, instead of only two last year, are outstanding features of tho programme drawn up by tho Auckland Trotting Club for its summer meeting, to be held on December 27, 29 and 30. The prize-money has been apportioned as follows:—First day, £2050, compared with £1(25 last year; second day, £1715 (£1500); and third day, £1570 (£1200). The only race which carries a lower stake is the Great Northern Trotting Derby cm the second day. a reduction, from £OOO to £350 having been decided upon last year prior to nominations being taken. The Auckland Trotting Cup has been raised in value from £7OO to £750 and the limit has been tightened from 4.32 to 4.30. There aro four two-miles races on tho first day, ono on the second day and four on the third day.
