PENWOMEN'S LEAGUE
ARTS AND CRAFTS CIRCLE
Tho artistic ability of woman and her nimblcness of finger were amply demonstrated at tho annual arts and crafts exhibition held by the arts and crafts circle of the League of Penwomen in the league rooms yesterday afternoon. Metal and pewter work, hand-mado pottery, barbola work, painting, leather work and other forms of arts and crafts were displayed by the members, and the exhibition in every way reflected credit on their artistic senso and ingenuity. Tho display was opened by tho president, Mrs. H. Carr Rollett. Those who exhibited were Mrs. I. Turnbull, Mrs. E. S. Hudson, Mrs. Charles Webber, Mrs. E. R. Shutes, Mrs. 0. M. Tonkin, Mrs. E. Ryburn, Miss M. Spicer, Miss E. Melville, Miss W. Melville, Miss Briar Gardner, Miss Maisie Carte-Lloyd. Incidental music by Mrs. W. H. McKinney and Miss Coote, and Maori songs by Mrs. E. Richards and Mrs. Harold King, added to the pleasure of the occasion. Afternoon tea was served by the committee.
