DANCE AT NORTHCOTE
WELFARE LEAGUE FUNCTION Tho relief of distress arising mainly from unemployment in tho district continues to be satisfactorily discharged b}' tho Northcote Welfare League. To gather funds to copo with the increasing demands upon the league's resources, a flannel dance was held in the King's Theatre at Northcote on Thursday evening, and proved a very enjoyable function. This was organised by a committee comprising Mrs. A. J. Beck, president, Mrs. J. G. Lockie, secretary, Mrs. A. S. Tarrant, Mrs. N. S. Davidson, Mrs. H. Couldrey, Mrs. J. Murdoch, Mrs. T. Howland, Mrs. H. N. Maddox, Mrs. G. Dunn, Mrs. A. Herrick, Mrs. F. Townshend, Mrs. E. C. Horsman, Mrs. E. Crawshaw, Mrs. T.Boyd, Mrs. G. Lytollis, Mrs. G. F. Curtis, and Miss E. Mackay.
