CIVIC LEAGUE

At a meeting of tho Civic League held yesterday afternoon and presided over by Mrs. Kenneth Gordon, a letter was read from Mrs. McCombs thanking the league for congratulations upon her election to Parliament. Tho league's delegate to the National Council of Women's reebnt meeting presented her report and the league decided to contribute 10s toward the fund to defray delegates' expenses to tho conference of tho council to bo held next year. A discussion took place upon dual Parliamentary representation based upon Mrs. Newton's address at a previous meeting of the league. A lettor of sympathy in her severe illness is to be sent to Mrs. McLean.
