TRAVELLERS' TOURNAMENT

MATCHES AT NORTH SHORE Members of the Auckland Commercial Travellers' and Warehousemen's Association vill play a coif tournament at the North Shore links to-day. A medal round will be held in conjunction with a bogey handicap this morning and a four-ball match in conjunction with a sealed handicap will be played in the afternoon. THE KAIKOHE CLUB There was a good at the annual meeting of the Kaikohe Golf Club this week, the president, Mr. K. Harold, presiding. The report and "balancesheet disclosed a successful year. The expenditure for the year was very heavy, chiefly on account of the newly-erected clubhouse, and. the preparation of the new links. It is the intention of the club to renovate part of the links for next 6eaßon. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Mr. C. Cameron; vice-presidents, Messrs. F. Bean and H. Wright; ciub csptain. Mr. G. McNickle; secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. He«lop; assistant secretary. Mr. G. McNickle: general committee. Messrs. Harold, Edwards. Mincher, Hilliard and Guy; match committee. Messrs. McNickle. Bean. Cameron: grounds committee, Messrs. Wright. Edwards and Cameron; auditor, Mr. N. Ellery; ladies' committee. WHANGAREI CLUB'S SEASON [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI. Friday The closing function for the season of the Whangarei Golf Club took place on Mount Denby links yesterday afternoon in overcast though fine weather, and in the presence of a large attendance of members and visitors. The president of the men's club, Mr. L. Feist, expressed pleasure at the splendid success of the season and expressed the opinion that the next season would be equally successful. He congratulated the winners of the various competitions, statine that the standard of play had been well maintained during the season. During the afternoon' the prizes won for the various competitions were presented, the men's prizes bv Mr. Feist and the ladies' prizes by Mrs. R. G. Hosking, vice-president of the ladies' club.
