TENNIS VISITORS

ENGLISH TEAM'S TOUR MATCHES IN AUCKLAND Great interest is being centred in the visit to Auckland next week of the English tennis players, F. J. Perry. H. G. N. Lee and F. B Wilde. They will be seen in action against*C. E. Malfroy, E. L. Eartleet and N. G. Sturt at the Stanley Street courts next Wednesday. The occasion is more than usually notable in view of the fact that two of the visiting players. Perry and Lee, wero members of the team which regained the Davis Cup for Great Britain. Although the victory wag essentially a team one, the major part of the credit went to Perry, who is a highly spectaoular player. It will be interesting to compare his style with that of J. Crawford, tne Australian, the only player in the world who is ranked above him. Lee, ranked third in England, is a great singles player and captain of the touring team. Wilde is considered the most promising of the younger players in England, and much is expected of him in the near future.
