DAIRY BOARD'S ATTITUDE

REPLY TO CRITICISM NEW MARKETING SCHEME [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Thursday Commenting to-day on the new marketing proposals for dairy produce Mr. Dynes Fulton, a member of the New Zealand Dairy Produce Board, said it was the intention of the board to obtain the necessary legislation and proceed in compliance with the mandate received at several conferences from the industry. Referring to a question asked in the House of Representatives by Mr. A. .T. Murdoch, member for Marsden, Mr. Fulton said it was not the intention of the board to exercise any arbitrary powers. Notwithstanding the fact that a larce amount of legitimate criticism had been offered, continued Mr. Fulton, it was astounding to know that some daiiA companies could be hoodwinked by agents and their representatnes who had a great deal to lose in the event of a marketing scheme being adopted.
