CRICKET INCIDENT

INTRUDER IN BEDROOM There was a much-embarrassed fieldsman during the course of a senior cricket match in Dunedin. A hardhitting batsman despatched the ball over the pavilion through the bedroom window or a near by house. The fieldsman, finding the door locked and being in a quandary, proceeded to climb through the window and made a hurried search under the bed for the ball. When the lady of the house entered and found a pair *of legs protruding, naturally enough she became alarmed, as she was evidently under the impression that a burglar had entered the building. However, the man of the house quickly appeared on the scene and explanations followed, a much-subdued fieldsman returning to the field to enable the game to bo continued after some delay.
