COMBINED INSURANCES ANNUAL BALL HELD Seldom has the Peter Pan Cabaret looked more attractive with softly shaded lights, and the bright hues of dancers' frocks, than it did last evening, when the eighth annual ball of the Insurance Officers' Benevolent Fund took place. Tubs of mimosa blossoms were placed at each corner of the dance floor, and bowls of Iceland poppies and daffodils carried out the same note of colour on the small tables. Balloons in various colours were distributed during the evening. On arrival the guests were received by Mr. P. H. Upton, the president, and Mrs. Upton, who wore a frock of black ring velvet with black coatee, trimmed with fur. The ladies on the committee present were:—Miss R. Anderson, who wore willow green crinkle crepe; Miss G. Challis, in black chiffon velvet; Miss W. G. Hasell, vieux rose chantilly lace; Miss A. Heron, moss green organdie; Miss N.
