PROFESSOR STRONG'S VISIT Tho visit to Auckland of Professor Anne Strong, Dean of the Faculty of Home Economics at Otago University, is being taken advantage of to secure her assistance in forming a branch of the Home Economics Association in Auckland. The president and committee of the Home Service Association, in co-operation with the Home Science Alumni of Otago University, are working for this object and yesterday afternoon Professor Strong was asked to meet them at the Lyceum Club to discuss the necessary steps. There were also present with Professor Strong, Miss Violet McMillan, who is tho holder bf a Sarah Ann Rhodes Scholarship at Victoria College, Wellington, and organiser of tho Home Science Extension Service in the Wellington Province, and Miss Isabel Crowe of the Home Science Extension Service staff of Otago University. A provisional committee, consisting of representatives from the two organisations, was set up and Professor Strong gavo a brief address upon the aims and achievements of tho association.
Among those present in addition to Professor Strong, Miss Violet McMillan and Miss Isabel Crowe were: — Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell, Miss Carnachan, Mrs. H. E. Barrowclough, Miss A. Feay, Miss M. Aitchison, Mrs. W. H. Parkes, Mrs. Cruickshank, Mrs. J. Cook and Mrs. J. Kalman.
