STRAWBERRY PLANTS
SHIPMENT TO ENGLAND A trial shipment of about 100 strawberry plants will be sent to England by the steamer Tainui to-day by Mr. A. W. Palmer, of Glen Eden, to the order of a New Zealander living in England. It is hoped the plants will bear fruit during the off season oic the English plants. If the shipment proves successful larger quantities will be sent next year. The plants are contained in about 30 pots. "This trial shipment will probably not bo as successful as it would have been if the plants had been sent earlier in the year," said Mr. Palmer yesterday. _____
