MILKING PLANT MOTORS I REMITS FOR CONFERENCE [FROM OTTIt OWN CORRESPONDENT] PUKEKOHE, Tuesday A considerable number of inquiries for estimates for installing electric motors for milking plants has been received by the foreman of the Franklin Electric Power Board, Mr. L. G. Sharp, who' reported to the board meeting today that 28 milking and separator motors had been added to the board's load during tho month. The total number of connected milking motors now stood at 1461. Remits for the forthcoming Power Board conference on September 27 and 28 wero passed as follows: —That the Government be urged to reduce customs duty on all electrical appliances; that in accordance with, the recommendations of the National Expenditure Adjustment Commission, the be urged to chargo a uniform rate for bulk supply of electric power; that the Public Works Department be requested to adjust peak load charges for tho quarter in which daylight saving terminates; that Government electrical undertakings be placed in the control of commissions.
