DANGEROUS CORNER

BEND NEAR TE KUITI FENCE TO BE ERECTED A decision to erect*a white safetyfence round the outside edge of a dangerous bend on the main road about 3J miles south of Te Kuiti has been reached by the Main Highways Board, according to Mr. M. H. Wynvard, motorists' representative on the board. The dangerous nature of the bend was emphasised at a recent meeting of the Council of the Automobile Association, when it was decided to refer the position to the Slain Highways Board. It was stated that the corner had been the scene of several accidents.
