AUCKLAND CHARITIES ' 1 _ I LATE MR; JOHN COURT ESTATE OF UNDER £60,000 Probate has boon granted of tlio will of Mr. John Court, of Auckland, who died on July 6. rind the estate is valued at, under £OO.OOO. The disposal of the estate, apart from a few minor provisions, is left entirely »'■ in the hands of the trustees, and no additional public, gifts are expressly provided for. It is now revealed, how. ever, that in September, 1926, Mr. Court set aside a sum of £SOOO "to be administered for charitable purposes within the Cit.v of Auckland," and created a trust to administer it. During the donor's lifetime the income of this fund was spent on charitable ]Jurposes year by year by the trustees mulct his direction. The trustees now have full power "to pay and apply the trust fund and the income arising therefrom to such charitable purposes in the City of Auckland" as'they shall think fit. The fund is to be known as "The John Court Memorial Fund."
