ASSOCIATION WORK
Mrs. A. D. Campbell presided at a well-attended meeting of the board of directors of the Y.W.C.A., Miss Jean Stevenson, national general secretary, also being present. Tho president welcomed back Dr. Gladys Rowley after her visit to the East.
Correspondence dealt with included information in. donnection with activities of the Pan-Pacific Women's Institure and tho visit to New Zealand of the Rev. Varcoe Cocks, a youth worker from overseas. A report of the Dutch market, showing proceeds to date as a net total of £146, was most satisfactory not only from the point of view of takings, but particularly in regard to the wholehearted and happy co-operation between all who had taken pare. Miss Stevenson reported on matters in connection with administration and programme, while Miss Biintham gave a detailed report _of all that was planned. in connection with Triangle Day. The report of tho month's activities included several functions organised by women members in support of tho work of various committees and the auxiliary; the round-table dinner addressed* by tho Mayor, with the first annual meeting following, the commencement of the second term's work of the opportunity school, recruiting activities undertaken in tho senior department, and the arrangements for renting Holiday House to camp groups. After tho report of the nominations committee, the fixing of certain special board meetings in connection with the close of the financial year, and reports from departmental chairmen, the meeting closed.
