WOMEN'S ZIONIST SOCIETY
A most successful bridge party in ■id of funds for the maintenance of the New Zealand Infant Welfare Centre in Palestine was given at "The Hill," Manurow3, the home of Mrs. David Nathan, Dominion president of the New Zealand Women's Zionist Society. Mrs. Nathan, who wore an attractive frock of emerald green georgette, received the guests in the lounge, which was decorated with masses of greenery, tioi-toi and pots of maidenhair ferri" and orchids. The bridge tables were set out im the drawing rooms, which > looked charming with bowls of parma violets, jasmine and spring flowers. Cheerful fires burned cosily in.the grates. Afternoon tea was served in the dining room, where tho table was artistically decorated with orchids and maidenhair fern. Among those present were:—Mrs. C. H. Moses, Mrs. A. Astor, Miss Vera Ziman, Mrs. Alexander Follick, Miss Eve Keesing, Mesdames Baflin, Barnett, Barzel, Baume, Murray Benjamin, Blitz, Bookman, Collinson, Chifrton, Esterman, Goldberg, Jacobs, B. Kay, Mortimer Kay, Knight, Levine, Laird, Mitchell, Pizer, F. H. Pone, H. Raphael (Wellington), Riffkin, R. Ross, Scheiff, W. Shenkin, Shrimski, Sterne, G. Sowden, J. Yock, Ralph Zjinan, Misses R. Ballin, V. Goldwater, K. Keesing, Florence Marks, M. Mendellsohn, llosetta Moses. Donations to the funds were also received from Mesdames Ernest Benjamin, Murray Benjamin, A. S. Cohen, Munro Emanuel, J. Hayman, B. Hewitt, B. Kay, Michael, C. H. Moses, H. Meltzer, J. Yock, J. Ziman, Misses Hart and M. Phillips.
