BIRKENHEAD WOMEN
ASSOCIATION MEETING The monthly mooting of the Birkenload Women's Association, held in the parish hall, was largely attended. The president, Mrs, A. E. Wood, presided. It was resolved to organise a bridge evening for July 13 in order to assist the funds of the Birkenhead Returned Soldiers' Association, which is endeavouring to subsidise relief work for unemployed members. Miss I. M. Wood was appointed act-iag-secretary during tho absence of the secretary, Mrs. R. R. Hayman.
