ADJOURNMENT GRANTED [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] CHRISTCHURCH. Wednesday The assessors for the employers and the employees in the plumbing trade dispute met again to-day. The employers had asked that an agreement be reached by conciliation council, agreeing that if this were done they would be willing for the question of v wages to be. settled by the Arbitration Court. The union objected to the reference" of wages alone to the Court, being unwilling to concede. certain proposals of the employers, notably those concerning overtime. / The employers would not make concessions in this respect and would not agree to any question other than wages going before the Court. Finally, the assessors for the employees said they were unable to agree to the employers' proposals without further consulting their unions, and they, asked for adjournment until April 7, which was granted.
