MANGERE ANGLICANS

The annual vestry meeting of St. James* Anglican Church, Mangere, was held this week, and was well attended, about 70 people being present. The vicar, the Llcv. L. Foulkes, presided. Mrs. Clark, the secretary and treasurer, read the balance-sheet for the year, which showed a credit balance of nearly £ls. This was considered exceedingly good considering the hard times and the many debts which have been liquidated. The Sunday schools and all the other institutions of the parish also showed good results. The wardens, Messrs. Hall and Probert, were re-elected, and the old vestry was unanimously returned with the addition of the Rev. W. N. Parapa and Messrs. Jones and Archer.
