METHYLATED SPIRITS ADDICT PROBLEM EOR POLICE "T. do not know how this methylated spirits drinking is going to be stopped, said Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., in the Polico Court yesterday, after hearing evidence against Annie Charlotte Drury, aged 46, domestic, who admitted a charge of being a rogue and vagabond, and habitually consorting with undesirables. Mr. Aekins represented accused. Detective-Sergeant Kelly said accused had been under the notice of the police for some time. "She stoops to methylated spirits," Mr. Kelly added. "Something will have to he done to clean up the Freeman's Bay portion of the town. There are others coming in." Accused was sentenced to six months' imprisonment.
