EX-SERVICEMEN'S CLUB
BALL HELD AT PIRATE SHIP The annual ball of the Devonport ExServicemen's Club, held at the Pirate Ship on Saturday evening, proved a decided success. A fcaturo of tho programme was the large amount of old-time music played by Bartley's Pirate Ship Orchestra. The chairman of the social committee, Mr. F. C. Davies, was responsible for the arrangements, and Major Wilkie, vicepresident of tho club, was among the guesEs. The hostess for tho evening was Mrs. E. W. 1 Sharpo, who wore a frock of pale turquoise satin with lace coateo to tone. Among those present were:—Mrs. J. Leland, who wore a frock of black georgetto and gold beads; Mrs. McComb, claret coloured satin; Mrs. F. Penman, ciel blue organdie; Airs. Davies, apricot satin beaute; Mrs. Lane, gold satin; Mrs. Lawrence, briar rose satin beaute; Mrs. Morrison, cau de nil frilled georgette; Mrs. Wilcox, gold lace frock; Mrs. 11. Williams, flame crepe fleuri; Mrs. New, cream crepe de chine; Mrs. E. Woodward, junr., daffodil satin with black relief; Mrs. Lloyd, ivory crepe satin; Mrs. Bur* gess, Nile green satin; Mrs. Harrison, corn-eliaded satin beaute; Mrs. Syron, black georgette; Airs. J. Dorset, black georgette; Airs. Grizeller, polka dotted blue georgette; Airs. F. Webster, ivory satin; Airs. A. Aloren, rose satin beaute; Airs. W. Codlin, floral chiffon; Airs. Marsh, salmon pink georgette; Aliss Pricey, delphinium blue taffeta; Aliss AI. Nicol, black souple satin with gold relief; Aliss R. Wilson, vieux roso taffeta; Aliss A.
