GUY FAWKES' DANCE
FUNCTION AT BAYSWATER A Guy Fawkes dance, held at the Takapuna Boating Club house at Bayswater on Saturday evening attracted a large number of dancers. Tho hall was artistically decorated with gaily painted screens and shaded lights, hanging spirals adding to the attractiveness of tho scene. All kinds of novelties were distributed and supper was served downstairs by tho ladies' committee, where bowls of Iceland poppies and other early summer flowers made bright decorations for the tables. Among those present were: —Mrs. H. G. Carr, who wore a frock of saracen red lace;. Mrs. Bach, dove gioy chiffon; Mrs. Braund, delft blue crepe de chine; Mrs. J. Vcrran, ravenswing georgette; Ml'S. Ward, black panne velvet; Mrs. Williamson, black lace; Airs. Inkster, black georgette and lace; Mrs. Deacon, gold shot taffeta; Mrs. Preston-Thomas, blue and white gingham; Mrs. 11. Wilson, mauve floral organdie; Mrs. Dryland, eau do nil georgette; Mrs. Mueller, apple green georgette; Mrs. Wink, blue and gold lame; Mrs. Green, primrose satin bcautc; Mrs. J. Dickey, white georgette; Mrs. Wheeler, palm * green georgette; Miss Marjorie Ward, pink and white crepon; Miss Eileen Franklin, white pique frock; Miss N. Martin, green crepe suede; Miss Chrissie Foster, Nile green satin; Miss Pixio Bestic, pink frilled taffeta; Miss Grace Cambridge, eau de nil pique frock; Miss Joy Verran, phlox pink lace; Miss Dorothy Lewis, blue and white crcpe de chine; Miss A. Wink, turquoise taffeta; Miss Harris, black lace over pink satin; Miss Marshdale, green polka doited georgette; Miss S. Denham, black lace; Miss Olive Braithwaite, black georgette; Miss Una Harris, white hailstone muslin; Miss Marjorie Green, floral chiffon ; Miss Dolly Mahon, forest green taffeta; Miss Rosary ITallan, coral shaded georgette; Miss Joan Ryder, russet satin; Miss G. Rotherway, Venetian blue satin; Miss I' rancis Rotherway, sapphire blue crepe de chine; Miss E. H. Miller, h'do blue crepe satin.
