MATCH FOR BARRATT CUP There was a good attendance at the Auckland Gun Club's grounds, Pakuranga, ou Saturday afternoon, when a 6erics of matches was ehot off. Sixteen shooters took part in the seven birds eye-opener match, all off lGyde, and tho match was divided by F. Keene, C. E. Hodge, and L. Peterson with the possible. The challenge match for the E. N. Barratt Cup, held by Auckland, resulted in a keen contest, and tho challengers, the Metropolitan Gun club, proved tho winners by 81 points to 79. Tho teams' scores were as follows: Metropolitan.—F. Keene, 14; F. Ramsey, 14; J. Milne, 13; L. Peterson, 12; C. Rae. 11; L. J Stent, 10; J. C. Whitney, 7; total, 81. Auckland.—D. S. Ewing, 13; F. H. Seccombe, 12; R. H. Bartley, 12; J. H. Gribble, 11; W. H. Hazard, 11; C. E. Hodge, 10; A. B. Macredie, 10; total, 79. Tho conditions of the match were 15 birds of? 16yds, and, as the scores indicate, conditions for shooting were extremely difficult. An open handicap match of 10 birds for a trophy presented by Mr. J. H. Gribble resulted in an outright win for L. F. Ramsey (18yds), with 9 birds. L. Peterson (16yds), F. Keene (lGyds), and F. E. McKenzio divided second and third money with 8 birds each.
