DAMAGE BY FLOODS
WESTERN AUSTRALIA HUGE AREA UNDER WATER PERTH. Aug. 0 Latest details from the flood-affected districts of the north indicate that,a huge area is inundated. At. least- five towns have been invaded, arid one of them is still under water. There have been extensive washaways on the' railways, crops have been washed out of the ground, flocks of sheep marooned and communication with some towns iri the midland districts cut off. Parts of the railway from Perth to Geraldton arc from 10 to 30 feet under water. The township of Moora is inundated to a depth of from two to three feet.. Although the flood waters at Coorow, Carnambah, Three Springs and Mingene.w have subsided, the streets are deep in mud and slush and the contents of many shops have been ruined.
