WAIOEKA
The annual "Waioeka (Opotiki) ball was held in the Waioeka Hall and was well attended. Music was supplied by the Dixie Dance Band. Old-time and
modern dances were enjoyed until a late hour. Novelty dances were won by Mr. and Mrs. D. Lee and by Mrs. Murray and Mr. -S. Abbot. Among those present were: —Mrs. B. Lee, Mrs. S. Abbot, Mrs. Powell, Mrs. A. Clark, Mrs. Murray, Mrs. Hedley, Mrs. W. Patterson, Mrs. T. O'Sullivan, Mrs. A. Cate, Mrs. Boon, Miss Sandford, Miss E> Butler, Miss L. Butler, Miss S. Butler, Miss N. Clark, Miss F. Abbot, Miss E. Reid, Miss N. Reid, Miss E. Murray, Miss M. Watson, Miss M. Looney, Miss J. Kirkbrido, Miss D. Payne, Miss Z. Gordon, Miss T. Ilambly, Miss E. Oemeke, Miss I.
