A wide range of subjects was chosen for dcbato at tho Penwomen's Club on Friday afternoon, when impromptu speeches were given.by the members. Miss Sweet, vico"Sorted considerable scope for, individualistic ideas on sri questions as "Is Marriage nn Absolu *;® Convention" and "Is the freedom of the Press an Unqualified Benefit. Some inter esting statistics followed the question Do You Approve of State Lotteries. an a debate on "Which is the Higher ArtTragedy or Comedy?" brought forth convincing opinions from both sides. The question resulted in * deoiaion iot. comedy.
