CONCERT AT ALBANY

A very successful concert and dance was held in the Coronation Hall at Albany recently. The first item oil the piogramme was a song by the Albany schoolchildren. A concert party from Northcote, organised by Mr. A. E. Hicks and Major Shaw, give a clever display of dancing and singing. Miss Rcta Shaw and Donald Davidson were the solo dancers. Misses Marie Gill and Thelma McMurtrie (Albany) gave a dialogue and Mr. Is orman Tate, the "fun doctor, held the audience enthralled for half an hour with a wonderful exhibition of juggling, at the same time creating great amusement with his humour. Supper was provided and served by the mothers and friends of tho school children, after which dancing was enjoyed, extras being played by Mi. Tate. The proceeds of the concert are to be devoted to improvements to the school grounds under No. 5 scheme and to the dental clinic fund.
