ENGLAND V. ALL BLACKS
Sir—Kindly permit me through the medium of your valuable paper to suggest a means of raising funds for the unemployed, or some worthy cause. The' English League team has just completed a tour or Australia. The All Blacks are also returning from n successful tour of the same country. Would it not be possible to arrange a match between these two teams, say, one-half played under League rules, and the other under Rugby rules. .Wo know there are certain rules debarring this, but surely the prevailing economic conditions would justify these boing waived for the time being. The players would enjoy it, tho public would enjoy it, and tho unemployed fund would benefit substantially as, given a fine day, the attendance would be the greatest ever soen in this Dominion. W. 0. Davies.
