WEATHER IN JULY
HAMILTON'S RAINFALL TEMPERATURES DURING MONTH [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] HAMILTON. Monday Twelve days on which rain fell were recorded in Hamilton during July, the total fall for the month being 2.95 in. The maximum fall of 0.82 in. was recorded yesterday. In the corresponding month of last year a total of 6.98 in. of rain fell on 23 days, the maximum fall being 1.02 in. The following temperatures were recorded in the hall of a private residence in Hamilton in July Highest day temperature, 60 degrees; lowest day, 52; highest night, 51; lowest night, 35; average day, 56; average night, 43. The average day temperature for July, 1931, was 53 degrees and the average night 49. July records for the period 1922-1931 are as follows Highest day temperature, July 25, 1926, 66 degrees; lowest day, July 9, 1923, 47; highest night v July 12, 1927, 60; lowest night, July 15, 1927, 35. RECORDINGS IN WHANGAREI TOTAL OF 5.20 INCHES [from our own correspondent] WHANGAREI, Monday Rain fell in Whangarei on 17 days during July, the total fall being 5.20 in. During July of last year a total of 5.87 in. fell. The average rainfall during July for the past 10 years is 7.04 in. The total rainfall for the year to the end of July, 1932, "was 34.05 in., as against 33.53 in. during the same period last year.
