DEVELOPING EXPORT TRADE LORD BLEDISLOE'S INTEREST In connection with negotiations that are in progress for the development of export trade in New Zealand beech with the motor body building industry in Britain Messrs. J. R. Wilson and R. Bauchop, re. presentatives of Southern milling interests, who are at present in Wellington making representations to the Cabinet, discussed the matter with the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe, on Saturday evening. Lord Beldisloe's interest in the subject was indicated by a special request that Messrs. Wilson and Bauchop should meet him at Government House. His Excellency exhibited a keen interest in the development of the beech timber industry and expressed himself as eager to assist in any way he could to create a better undertanding between the New Zealand industry and the British consumer.
