FIXTURE AT HAMILTON SOME HANDSOME TROPHIES [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Monday The National Daffodil Society of New Zealand will this year hold its North Island Show on September 13 and 14 in conjunction with the Hamilton Horticultural Society.' Tho National Society's schodule includes the British Raisers Permanent Challenge Cup for 18 varieties, raised in the British Isles; tho Australian Daffodil Growers' Cliallenge Trophy, for 12 varieties of Australian raised daffodils; the Gibson Challenge Bowl, for 24 varieties; the Martin Challenge Cup, for 12 varieties of daffodils not in commerce; the Rhodes Silver Challenge Cupj for 12 varieties raised in New Zealand; and the Marchand Cup, for six varieties of Red Cup. The North Island amateur daffodil championship and tho Auckland provincial amateur daffodil championship will also be decided at the show. The Hamilton Society's schedule provides many interesting classes for professionals and amateurs, special provision having been made for growers in a small way.
