DIXIELAND CABARET
The visiting English Rugby League players and (lie New Zealand team were the guests of the management at Dixieland Cabaret on Saturday evening. A special dance number by John and Willie, accompanied by the Dixieland band (attired in the visitors' football jerseys) was repeatedly encored. Among those present were: Mrs. Harold Brinsden, who wore almond green brocaded satin; Mrs. W. Pearson, in black embossed georgette; Mrs. J. A. Eccles, ivory satin; Mrs. S. Carter, black georgette and lace; Mrs. F. 11. Morloy, powder blue satin; Mrs. Forbes, blue taffeta; Mrs. Bishop, lacquer red georgette; Mis. L. Stewart, black chiffon velvet; Mrs! L. Coaklev, jade satin and georgette; Mrs. Chad. Court, emerald green satin'; Miss Nancy Evans . (Wellington), emerald green ring velvot; Miss Dresden, black lace and ninon; Miss Eileen Haro, blue coin spotted net; Miss D. Farquhar, apricot beaded satin; Miss Kathleen Cahill, floral moire taffeta; Miss Rona Kelly, blue satin and beigo lace; Miss Bona McGregor, black velvet and net; Miss Marie O'Brien, mauve satin; Miss Z. Walker, black georgette; Miss Peppy Hnmmoml (WhimKarei), pastel shaded taffeta; Miss A. Hurt, ivory satin; Miss Jean Ormiston, black chiffon; Miss Eileen Brodie, green Inccr; Miss Isabel Davis, coral ring velvet; Miss Monn Craig, ivory embossed georgette; Miss Curson, green spotted georgette; Miss Theltna Harrison, black and gold laco; Miss R. Adeane, bottle green satin lieaute; Miss P. Sander, parma violet satin and lacc; Miss I. Shaw, ivory satin.
