LEAGUE OF MOTHERS

The monthly meeting of tho Mount Eden branch of the League of Mothers was held last week in the Presbyterian Hall. Tho yearly election of ofliccrs took place. Mrs. H. Tuck was re-elected president; Mesdames Messer, J. Cook, Allison and Jgguedcn, vice-presidents; Mrs. J. Raehtirn, secretary; Mrs. A. Bayliss, assistant secretary; Mrs. L. Piper, treasurer; Mrs. Roget, magazine secretary; Mrs.' Berry, librarian; Mrs. Mnson, pianist; committee, Mesdames Anderson, Chappell, Cameron, Connell, Melville and Hamilton. Miss Toogood gave two delightfui musical monologues which were much appreciated. Mrs. English gave a talk upon her travels abroad, and also upon her impressions of the " Passion i'lav " at Oberaminergau. The afternoon closed with tea, the hostesses being Mesdames Cameron, Mason and Stone.
