COMING MAFEKING PARTY.

VETERANS OF THE SIEGE. Lord Baden-Powell, who commanded the troops which defended Mafeking, has invited about twenty-five veterans of that memorable siege—October 13, 1899, to May 17, 1900 to his country house, Tax Hill, Bentley, Hampshire, on May 17 to celebrate the 32nd. anniversary of the relief. Brigadier-General C. Ryan, who was in charge of the commissariat in Mafeking, will be one of the party, while another will be Colonel Greener, the paymaster who made the bank-notes and currency used by the besieged. Veterans of the relief include Lord Plummet - , and Mayor B. Baden-Powell, Lord Baden-Powell's brother.
