OPENING AT Ml DDLEMORE. The opening of the Auckland Golf Club's season will take place next Saturday at Middleniore when a mixed foursomes compel ition will be played. The season will be officially opened at 12 o'clock, when Mr. H. Horton, the president of the club, will drive a ball off the first tee. The course is in exce]lent condition and should be at its best this year directly the autumn growth commences. AK A RAN A CLUB. A stroke competition was played by members of the Aknruna Golf Club on Saturday. Following are the best cards;—W. It. Swanson, 70. 7—09; W. F. Greenbank, 77, 6—71; J. Budge, 84. 12—72; C. Holloway, 82, 10—72; B. J. Smith, 70. scr—7o; J. Mckenzie, 82, 6—76; S. J. Beattie, 87. 10—77. WAIUKU LADIES' CLUB. The annual meeting of the Waiuku Ladies' Golf Club was held last week. The election of officers lesulted:—President, Mrs. Motion; vice-presidents, Mesdames Aldred, Ducker, Howden, Biiichoff, Barriball; secre*tary, Mrs. Heise; captain,. Miss U. Muir; vice-captain. Miss M. Hull; committee. Mesdames Bloomfield, Whiteside, Heise, Misses Mu'r and Hull.

THE ONEWHERO CLUB. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT. "| P LIKEKOHE, Monday. The annual moetinit of the Onewhero Golf Club was held on Saturday afternoon, Mr. P. G. R. Taylor presiding. The balancesheet allowed a sni'fill credit. The election of officers resulted:—Patron, Mr. D. Cameron, president, Mr.; E. F. Muir; vice-presidents, Messrs. E. Cameron and G. L Martin; captain, Mr. A. M. Wilson; vice-captain, Mr. A. G. Walton: steward, Mr. £>. W. Brownlie: secretary, Mr. P. G. R. Taylor;., committee, Messrs. D, Cameron. E. Cameron. Brownlie, Walton, C. Walter, J. Wright, Wilson. S. Cronin, Martin, Muir'and Taylor; ladies' committee. Mesdamca E. F. Muir; Pattullo, P. G. R. Taylor, Misses S. and F. Cameron; green superintendent. Mr. 8. Cronin; match committee, Messrs. Wilson, Walton and E. Cameron. It was decided to hold the official opening: on April 2 if no other openings were fixed, for that date.
