The preliminary bouts in connection with the Auckland University boxing championships were decided last evening, the results being as follows : Light-weight.—T. M. Emanuel, lOst, beat F. C. Jones, 10s; B. G.' Allen, 9st 13lb, beat B. H. Kingston, 9»t 111b. Welter-weight.—G. L. Zinzan, lOst 9lb, beat D. H. Nesbet, lOst 91b; C. M. Sealy, lOst 61b, beat E. C. Laurie, lOst 7lb: G. L. Zinzan, lOst 01b, beat C. M. Sealy, 103t Gib.
Middle-weight.—W. L. Barker, list 4lb, beat N. E. Crowe, lift 4lb; J. A. Mulgan, list 4lb, beat C. A. Lima, list 4lb. Light-heavy-weight.—F. G. Bowling, 12st, beat S. S. P. Hamilton, list 6lb. The finals will be decided at the university to-morrow evening, the bouts being as follows; — Feather-weight.—J. Rassie, 9st 2lb, r. Sharley, Bst 101b.
