LEAGUE OF PENWOMEN.

Members of the journalism section of tlio Leaguo of Penwomen welcomed as their guest of honour on Tuesday evening, Mr. Will Lawson, who gavo an address entitled " Glimpses of Journalism in Pan Pacific Countries." Mr. Lawson gave some colourful glimpses of newspaper operations in ban lirancisco, California and Java. Many interesting sidelights were revealed of methods of reporting and interviewing. Tlirco sea poems, composed by Mr. Lawson, were recited during the evening by Mr. J. W. Bailey. The poems were: " Tlio Men Who Make the Miles," "The Anchor Song" and "The Blue Water Call." At the conclusion of his address a hearty vote of thanks was extended to Mr. Lawson.
